On Monday 12 December, the halls of Drouot-Richelieu will organise an exceptional sale of sculptures and objects relating to Pre-Columbian American art, Black African art, Aboriginal Australian art and Himalayan and Indonesian art.
The pieces presented come from private collections or from private establishments, such as Charterhouse Public School of Godalming in England.
The members of the Au Détour des Mondes association, will be invited for a prior presentation of the major pieces on sale, by Serge Reynes, expert for the auctioneers Alain Castor and Laurent Hara.
The association, composed of admirers of Primitive and Aboriginal art and created in spring 2009, organises conferences, debates, exhibitions and cultural manifestations promoting a vast amount knowledge on the arts of Africa and Oceania. This association works in collaboration with musée du Quai Branly and with musée Dapper in Paris.
