The Meyer Gallery announced it will exhibit at the G4 stand at Frieze Masters 2012 in London, 9 and 10 October for the preview, and 11 and 12 October for the public. Two entirely new themes have been chosen on the occasion: in the main space Oceanic art, and in a smaller, more intimate space, ancient Eskimo art.

Frieze Masters is an international art fair whose vocation is to look classical art with a contemporary gaze, thanks to the presence of ninety international art traders among the best in the world, covering all specialities, from modern art to tribal art. Many pieces come from ancient collections, gathered in the 18th and 19th century, and until the mid 20th century. These collections belonged to connoisseurs seeking exceptional quality and rarity. Several of these works were part of former museum collections, and others where showed on the major international exhibitions.

The Meyer Gallery has been celebrating thirty years of tribal art tradition, in Paris’ sixth district. Since the opening in 1986, Anthony JP Meyer goes on acquiring pieces of Oceanic art.
