Fine Art Asia 2012 in Hong Kong

Fine Art Asia is an annual art fairs more established in Asia, with a unique combination of ancient Eastern and Western art. In October 2012, the eighth edition of the fair will be an opportunity for the most famous galleries in the world to exhibit in Asia. This year visitors to the Convention and Exhibition Center in Hong Kong is located in Wan Chai, will have the opportunity to admire the most beautiful pieces of antiques, ranging from the Bronze Age Chinese, Himalayan art, Chinese ceramics through fabrics, jewelery, antique watches at European decorative art. In exceptional modern and impressionist paintings as well as sculptures and other forms of contemporary art will also be on display.

Nearly 90 art dealers in Europe, Asia and America will be present at the Fine Art Asia, which will take place at the same time as the auctions at Sotheby’s autumn Hong Kong. This fair is an event for both art dealers, collectors, connoisseurs, and for art lovers or the curious from around the world.

In addition, during the same period, Asia Fine Art organizes the first exhibition of Italian furniture design taking place in Asia. Entitled “From 20th Century to Eternity”, this exhibition will present to the public the greatest creations of modern designers such as Ettore Sottsass, Matteo Thun, Michelle Delucchi, Jr. and Marco Zanuzo Nanda Vigo. The presentation of the exhibition will take place from 1st to 30th September 2012 in K11, the first art mall located in Tsim Sha Tsui, before being moved to the convention center and exhibition in Hong Kong 4 October 10, 2012.

Fine Art Asia, founded and directed by enthusiasts and art collectors, and Calvin Hui Andy Hei, chose Hong Kong as an exhibition for the city is the center of the art market in Asia and is also a gateway entry of China, the largest market of contemporary art.
